You are all coming a long way for this wedding, and by no means do you need to buy us a present. Your presence is our present. Shoot me, I live in California this year. If you do want to buy us something, we will promise to put it to use. There's one of us that really likes to cook, and two of us that like to eat. I am a fan of the old and antiquated. If you see something at the dump or on the street that could be perfect with a little love (and isn't too big), by all means, tie a bow around it. Or if you just happen to have a 9 week old jack russell puppy I can slip into my pocket, I'll take him.
Anyone interested in giving a donation, we'd like to point you towards the Carpenter's Boat Shop an apprenticeship school in Pemaquid, Maine that trains people of all walks and stages of life, in boat building. They do good work and don't charge tuition, so donations are their lifeblood. And Share Our Strength, a non-profit dedicated to feeding hungry kids throughout the States.
